Perseus Double Cluster
Le Double Amas de Persée photographié au 400mm. Ces deux amas d’étoiles (NGC884 and NGC869) mesurent environ 1000 années-lumière.
Ils se situent à 7200 années lumière de chez nous, soit 62 millions de milliards de km et se rapprochent de la terre à 40 km/s. C’est rapide pour nous mais à l’échelle de l’univers plutôt lent !
A titre d’exemple la grande galaxie d’Andromède nous fonce dessus à 112 km/s (400,000 km/h) et elle nous « percutera » dans seulement 4 milliards d’années.

They are located 7,200 light years from Earth, or 62 millions of billions of kilometers, and approach the earth at 40 km / s. It’s fast for us but at the scale of the universe, pretty slow !
For example, the great Andromeda galaxy is swooping down on us at 112 km / s (400,000 km / h) and it will “hit” us in just 4 billion years.
